Dearest Ajarn,

Lately, I have been pondering about my two years stay in Hat Yai and what I will miss the most after going back. Without a doubt, the opportunities you bestowed on me beyond our advisor-advisee relationship came gushing through my memory lane and those moments are profound as they shaped me into becoming an assertive and empathetic woman.

I came here without much expectations but then to give my best in completing the study. First year was tedious as I was bombarded with new concepts and it was all academic day in and day out which actually helped me in laying a firm foundation for my research. I should confess that with each semester there was a mounting pressure to identify our research interest, in particular, the research topic. I was still confuddled and stressed for not being able to find one research topic until our meeting.

Weekend Excursion with Ajarn (Thank you)

Everything sailed swiftly after our first meeting as you took me under your wings and really cared about the whole process. You really showed and paved a well-trodden path for me to walk along without much hindrance. For that, I am deeply grateful. I was able to delve deeper into the whole research process as you provided me the freedom and most importantly trusted me in completing any given task. Thank you for the much needed assurance and validation. I was able to come out of my shell and shun the skepticism embedded within me. I feel like I have become more confident, I can voice out what I have in my mind, and more self-assured than ever.

I have always cherished our meetings; I think those one-to-one conversations were my favorite moments. I remember entering your office with a lot of questions and anxiety about the next research process. And! Without fail you always disambiguated all my confusions and really made me feel relaxed and calm (haha). At the end of the conversation, I always got all my answers and knew that I can do it. I can sometimes come across as an impatient, do it all kind of individual, but having Ajarn as my mentor grounded me and helped me become persistent and enduring.

I will remember to ‘TAKE SMALL AND SIGNIFICANT STEP’ each day.

Final Thesis (Thank you for your unwavering support)

I have been an astute observer and seen you work with such commitment and elegance. I am always in awe of your work ethics and the way you balance professionalism and personal etiquette with your advisee (me) and colleagues. Thank you for being such a great example and role model. I aspire to emulate all your effervescent personality once I go back to my workplace and yes! My whole life.

I truly am grateful (Thank you very much Ajarn)

Thank you for patiently guiding me and accepting all of me.

Thank you for being my mentor, advisor, and lifelong friend!!!

Will remember you!!!
